What is the youngest age and what do you need for registration?

From 12 months and older. All that is needed to do is fill out the registration form, turn in birth certificate, vaccination records & physical exams, and copies of ID for the members who will have custody of the child.

Can a 12-month old child be enrolled even if he does not walk?

Yes.

Can they drink soy milk?

Yes.

Can they drink maternal milk?

Yes, but the parents must provide the milk substitutes that are approved by the food program if needed

Hours of operation

What are the hours of operation for Amberwood Academy?

Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. After Care from 2:15 pm 6:00 PM.

When do they begin potty training?

When the child begins to react to being wet & from 2 years old.

Can we provide other food for the child?

Yes, we will add it to the food that is given at the centre. That way, we will ensure that the child is given the correct nutritional intake.

Is it mandatory for the child to nap?

No, but it is asked for the child to rest in his/her bed so his/her classmates are unbothered.

Is there a system to establish control of guardians who can pick the child up?

Yes, we have a system of finger print recognition in which only authorized guardians may pick the child up.

How many children are there in a classoon?

We follow the ratios established by the Broward County Child Care License.

How many credentials do the teachers have?

The teachers are accredited with a Florida Professional Child Care Credential or a higher level for academic instruction.

How can my child qualify to be in kindergarden, 1st or 2nd grade at the school?

Every child is welcome as long as there is space. You may apply to the scholarship Step Up for Students or you can make a private payment.
